Volunteer Murals on First St

Designed by Anthony Combs, painted by HGA volunteers

Supported by the San Jose Downtown Association

Local Color and the San Jose Downtown Association commissioned artist Anthony Combs to design and facilitate the painting of this mural on First Street in the heart of Downtown San Jose.

Combs was joined by over a dozen volunteers from HGA San Jose’s Community Action group. The mural, painted on construction walls next to Hammer and Lewis Clothiers, commemorates the National Day of Service. This mural was completed in ~3 hours with the helping hands and brushes of volunteers.
