Volunteer Murals on 545 S Second

Designed by Jessica Punzalan, painted by volunteers with support from the San Jose Downtown Association

In partnership with the San Jose Downtown Association, Local Color facilitated a volunteer mural painting event in June 2023 to activate blank wooden boards used to cover the windows of the closed Emile’s restaurant on 545 2nd St in Downtown San Jose.

The artist’s design takes inspiration from the many jacaranda trees lining the streets of Downtown and found throughout the city.
